This isn't a franchise package assembled by a marketing team. It's a decade of building, breaking, betrayal, and rebuilding by two people who refused to quit, and the masters who stood with them.

Edward Armstrong built the founding light sword academy in Virginia Beach inside an international franchise structure, believing it gave his students a real competitive future. He was wrong about the structure, and when he found out, he walked away from everything rather than operate inside a system he couldn't trust.

He didn't rebuild it alone. Julliana Armstrong was writing her own record at the same time: a three-time national champion, the first American certified to referee the sport internationally, contracted to train on U.S. military bases. When the two of them started over, they didn't reopen an academy. Together they built a federation, a fitness system, and a standard that answers to no one but the two of them.

"They didn't restart under a safer banner. They built their own: a discipline they own outright, accountable to no franchise and no outside authority. That decision cost a year of their lives. It is also the reason everything you see here exists."

2015

Edward Armstrong builds the founding academy in Virginia Beach from zero, 68 students in 6 months, named Entrepreneur of the Year. Featured on ABC, NBC, CBS, Fox, the Boston Globe, and Black Belt Magazine.

2016

The betrayal. The international franchise's systemic problems surface: favoritism, predetermined results, hostile leadership. Edward shuts everything down rather than compromise his students' future.

2017

Two masters rebuild from scratch (Edward in Virginia Beach, Julliana at Langley AFB), joined by Sijo Nathan Young in Hawaii and Sifu Nick Benseman on a Hollywood set. No franchise. No outside control.

2019–24

A federation network grows across six states and Japan. Julliana earns her third national title and becomes the first American certified to referee internationally in Milan. LSMAF incorporated, 45 governing documents built. Langley AFB contracted. 1,500+ warriors trained.

2026

The Global Alliance Tour departs, building the international record behind the World Games petition. Julliana competes for Team USA at the GSBA World Championship in Germany. Charter Club #1 is awarded to the first Commander certified entirely online.

Jun 30, 2027

The LSMAF Eastern Regionals, the first officially sanctioned competition. Three formats. All rank divisions. Every result permanently recorded. No title has been claimed yet. That window is open right now.
